Filament Density Chart: Every Material Compared

⚡ Why Density Matters:

In short, Lower density means more meters of plastic per 1kg spool. If you buy a 1kg spool of ABS (density 1.04 g/cm³), you get 400 meters of filament. If you buy a 1kg spool of dense PETG (density 1.27 g/cm³), you only get 327 meters. That is an extra 73 meters of free printing just by choosing a lighter polymer!

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate are these engineering numbers?

All figures are derived directly from published empirical engineering standards including NEC 310.15, NREL photovoltaic datasets, and manufacturer polymer technical datasheets.

Are calculations processed on a remote server?

No. Every tool runs 100% locally in your client web browser with zero server transmission, guaranteeing complete data privacy.
